Erin Roberts
Erin is a member of the American Montessori Society, is certified at two levels (0-3 and 3-6), and has enjoyed nearly 20 years of experience as a Montessori Directress. She is a Certified Positive Discipline Parenting Coach, and also has training in the Orton Gillingham Method. She is passionately committed to honoring the unique individuality of her students and to nurturing each child’s Whole Development. She believes that interaction with the land and time spent in nature are imperative (and often neglected) aspects of education; and she is thrilled to be able to share this with her students on the Mighty Oaks Farmstead. She seeks to provide a holistic early educational experience for each one of her students which will foster early independence, academic fortitude, and peaceful citizenship.

Miss Sue
Miss Sue lives with her husband since 1977, in Black Mountain. She comes to Mighty Oaks Montessori with over 30 years of teaching experience. After owning a dance studio for 20 years she has dedicated her career to preschool and elementary aged children teaching, assisting and volunteering in Montessori classrooms. Having grown up on a large family farm, she is excited that her new home at Mighty Oaks Montessori includes, in the true traditions of Montessori education, teaching children the love of learning and also living in harmony with the land.
